Tea and Scones... Posted at 01:15 PM
I have been back home for my semester break for almost a week now. Life has been oh so un productive so far it's BRILLIANT!
I intend to let no one bother me much for the time being...I like this. Life's relatively at ease. I'm quite complacent like this. I know I'm not one who can stay put for too long but this is nice once. TV. Writing. Reading. Eating. Sleeping. More sleeping. No phonecalls to bother me much. No pressure to answer smses either because I'm out of credit. It's heaven, this is =).
I'll be getting back on track soon enough. I've got my trampoline out my trainers washed and new socks to work for my Nike Women ad haha. Dee and the rest asked me to come back down to KL for paintball and ice skating oh you know me too well
.
Oh I'm gonna brush up on my bowling that I've left for MONTHS.
Went out to watch the brother and the sister training yesterday. One kid scored a strike-starter, a nine, a BLOODY SIX-PACK, a spare and a strike end in one game. Holy balls... The brother and sister are out playing in some tournament right now. My legs and tummy hurt from the crunching yesterday I decided to be too arsed-lazy to go with.
I am allergic to cats. It's soo baffling...I realised this back when I started living away from home. Coming back only once a month, I'd stay in the house for an hour and my throat'd start itching crazy and my nose sneezing away like it's about to come off. It's dead annoying. And lately it's getting worse. Usually I get used to the cats in a few days but it's been a week now and my eyes still feel like it has nits in the back of them. It's murder...and I'm wasting loo rolls.
Anyway, coming back, I've had to accidentally watch the 8pm news on days. I don't watch the news, see. I don't read the papers much either. For someone who absolutely loves having opinions about EVERYTHING this is not an advantage. But I can't help at it...I knew a friend who didn't read the papers because she thought there was too much negativity in them. Can't say it's the same case for me. That's being a tad ignorant, I think. I just believe that for every controversy, every predicament that happens in the world bears a similar if not the same cause. Miscommunication. Every dilemma would have a different story. But each story would have the same root if you understand it thoroughly. We perceive this world to function with so much complexity when we go too far and forget to look back. That is all. When you're engaged with the rest of the world in a gargantuan rat race for everything lucrative there's no time to turn back. Every loss is a loss and it will be a tale to be told but to compensate it most would only consider by going forward still. At the same time the ones who re less fortunate always get pushed behind. That's all. That's all there is to the news these days. Most are left as underlying accounts often looked past. But I'm not beseeching everyone to stop watching the news now, lol. I'm grateful I have my parents who truly believe that their children need to know bits and pieces of what's going on in the news every once in a while. I'd be in the car and they'd be dishing out stories and encouraging me to have my own opinions based on faith, based on humanity, based on how right can ever prevail wrong.
I am however disgusted by local news more and more these days. Putting aside the fact that there are more that governmentally-'croninised' tv channels like ntv7 are disclosing rather than they are revealing in the news, some bulletins are just beyond tolerably ridiculous. Like the other day when there was SUCH A HUGE COMMOTION about Dato' Siti whateverpuss at a community hospital visiting sick children with an entourage of PRs trailing behind her and about five cameras in her face...I ask though, is it so seldom that you visit sick people in the hospital that now when you actually do the whole country's making such a big fuss about it? Or is it that the whole country sees charity done by a famous diva preceeds charity done just anyone else? You worship people like her so much in this country like they have Midas' touch to your plain hearts. It's utterly demeaning.
A multi-million project to close down by the end of this Visit Malaysia year? Well done Malaysia, the Eye on Malaysia truly depicts what our country is best at. Being a stark obvious hypocrite when it comes to impressing the rest of the world before her people themselves.
Sheikh Muzaffar-whatever? The country paid RM25million for your pretty face to be put next to real astronauts up there in God's domain where the rest of us could only dream to reach...and all you could talk about most with such ardent pride was introducing rendang and other Raya delicacies to your American friends...
I just don't...understand.
You know what's real news? This is real news.
But Malaysia wouldn't care, would she? Because Malaysia Boleh...
